What is XMR20?
XMR20 is an experimental standard for recording token information in Monero transactions. Its first version creates a permanent record of a Solana token’s deployment.
The record identifies the token’s mint address, ticker, name and declared supply. Indexers read these records from Monero and turn them into a searchable history.
The inscription is on Monero.
The token currently lives on Solana.
XMR20 is an independent project from the Anonymouse ecosystem. It is not native XMR and is not an official Monero token standard.

Define the token
A deployment record identifies a Solana mint and its declared token information.

Write to Monero
The record is encoded into the public extra field of a Monero transaction. It remains readable even after the XMR in that transaction is spent.

Read and confirm
An indexer checks the record and follows its confirmations. The prototype marks it inscribed at 10 confirmations; chain reorganizations can change that status.
An inscription proves a claim was recorded. It does not, by itself, prove who created the Solana token or that a trading pool exists.

XMR20 was originally named ANON-20. The v1 wire identifier remains anon-20 so existing records and their IDs stay verifiable.
Where the project stands.
Inscription registry
A real stagenet deployment record has been independently recovered and confirmed. The cloud prototype follows stagenet blocks and handles reorganizations.
Token ownership & transfers
A proposed extension for signed XMR20 accounts and balances. Ordinary Monero wallets do not currently support XMR20 tokens.
Wallets & a Solana bridge
Self-custody tools and movement between Solana and XMR20 are being explored. No bridge, public mint or mainnet launch is available.
A few things to know.
Is XMR20 the same as Monero?
No. XMR is Monero’s native currency. XMR20 is an experimental application protocol whose records are carried by Monero transactions.
Are inscriptions private?
The XMR20 record is intentionally public. Monero’s privacy does not hide data that this protocol publishes, including a linked Solana mint.
Is a token attached to a tiny piece of XMR?
No. The current record is identified by its transaction and encoded contents. It is not attached to an individual unit of XMR, and sending XMR does not transfer the Solana token.
Why is the index empty?
The live index may have no publicly listed records yet. Earlier test records can be excluded from the listing without removing their on-chain history. The index currently covers a limited stagenet block range, not the complete history.
Can I mint or bridge tokens here?
Not yet. This website is an index and introduction to the standard. Minting, XMR20 balances and bridging require additional protocol development and testing.
